Verification requirements
Identity verification is required before a Booking Request can be submitted, and license verification is additionally required for a Self-Drive Vehicle. Re-verification may be required from time to time, including if documents expire, change, or if we otherwise require it.
Documents required
- A government-issued photo ID or passport; accepted document types vary by country
- A valid driver's license, for a Self-Drive Vehicle (see Minimum Age and License Requirements)
- A selfie or biometric liveness check for identity matching
Processing time
Processing time can vary. Verification is carried out by us and/or independent third-party verification providers, working to keep the process as smooth and swift as possible.
Purpose of verification
Because our rentals involve vehicles of exceptional value, verification protects both Members and Providers by confirming that the person collecting the vehicle is legally entitled to drive it.
If verification fails
An email is sent explaining the reason for failure and what needs to be resubmitted. Common issues include blurry document photos, expired documents, or a name mismatch between the ID and the account.
