Understanding rental rates and fees
The rate shown on a listing is the starting point. Provider-specific charges are itemized separately before payment, so you always see the full picture beforehand. The following outlines the components that make up the total cost.
Provider charges, disclosed before payment
- Security deposit or pre-authorization, set by the Provider, released or charged according to the Provider's terms
- Delivery or pickup fees, if you select delivery instead of location pickup
- Additional driver fee, a one-time charge per extra authorized driver
- Fee for a chauffeured service, where you select it instead of self-drive
- Mileage overage, if you exceed the included mileage allowance
- Applicable taxes, which vary by country and are displayed prior to payment
- Seasonal or demand-based adjustments, where applicable
Your final pricing is confirmed once the Provider accepts your Booking Request and issues a quoted invoice, which becomes payable to confirm the Booking.
Reasons for price variation
Rates reflect local market conditions, vehicle availability, and rental duration. The same model may be priced differently depending on location and demand.
