Verification requirements
You must complete identity verification before submitting a Booking Request, and license verification is additionally required for a Self-Drive Vehicle. You may be asked to re-verify from time to time, including if your documents expire, change, or if we otherwise require it.
Documents required
- Your government-issued photo ID or passport; accepted document types vary by country
- Your valid driver's license, for a Self-Drive Vehicle (see Minimum age and license requirements)
- A selfie or biometric liveness check to match your identity
Processing time
Processing time can vary. We and/or independent third-party verification providers carry out your verification, working to keep the process as smooth and swift as possible.
Purpose of verification
Because our rentals involve vehicles of exceptional value, verification protects you and the Provider by confirming that the person collecting the vehicle is legally entitled to drive it.
If verification fails
We will notify you of the reason for failure and what you need to resubmit. Common issues include blurry document photos, expired documents, or a name mismatch between your ID and your account.
