Adding additional drivers
Anyone who will drive the vehicle other than you, the primary Member, must be registered as an additional driver, a safety and insurance requirement.
How to add a driver
You can add an additional driver during booking, or from an existing reservation, by providing their name, license details, and date of birth. You can complete document verification for the additional driver in advance.
Fees
Most listings charge a one-time additional driver fee per rental, displayed before payment. The fee amount is set by the Provider and varies by vehicle and market.
Eligibility
Additional drivers must meet the age and license requirements set by the Provider for the specific vehicle, as described in Minimum age and license requirements. Acceptance of an additional driver is subject to Provider approval and may depend on the vehicle category and applicable insurance requirements. The maximum number of additional drivers permitted on a Booking is also set by the Provider.
Coverage for unregistered drivers
If someone who is not a registered driver on the booking operates the vehicle and an incident occurs, insurance coverage may not apply, and you, as the primary Member, bear full liability. Add anyone who might drive the vehicle before pickup.
